What are your candles made from?
At Bee Kinder, we use only the highest quality materials. Our candles are made using 100% soy wax, cotton braid wicks and high quality fragrance oils.
Soy Wax is a vegetable wax made from from soybean oil. It is a sustainable, renewable and biodegradable resource, 100% plant based and all natural. Soy wax candles burn longer and cleaner than paraffin wax candles, produce very little soot and are very easy to clean up with warm, soapy water if spilled. Basically - soy wax is the way to go!
Cotton Braid Wicks
Our candle wicks are made from 100% cotton braided with natural paper fibres. These wicks are lead free and contain no toxins or harmful chemicals - only natural materials.
We use premium grade fragrance oils manufactured here in Australia. They are phthalate free, non-toxic and are never tested on animals.
Are your candles vegan?
Of course! We love animals. None of our products or materials were tested on animals, nor do they contain any animal byproducts. We do not use beeswax.
How do I burn my candle?
Each time you light your candle, make sure you burn it until the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the jar. This is to ensure a full melt pool is achieved to prevent your candle from tunneling. Our recommended burning time is 2-4 hour increments. Before you relight your candle, make sure you trim the trim to 1/4 inch (approximately 4-5mm). Trimming your wicks will ensure your candle burns cleanly and has a steady flame.
Can I reuse my candle jar?
Of course! Our candle jars are made using high quality, hand-molded, thick-walled glass. Simply give them a rinse out with warm, soapy water when you've burned your candle down to the bottom and reuse the container however you like! They're excellent for using for all kinds of things. A few of our favourites are using them as drinking glasses, pen holders and herb planters. See our guide on reusing your jars here!
